We work in partnership with the Online Centres Network to promote and encourage individuals to become confident and competent in the use of online facilities and using a computer. These FREE courses can be completed at our centres based in the following venues:
Betty Strathern Community Centre, 41 Myrtle Road, Harold Hill, Romford, Essex, RM3 8XS
Castle Green Community Centre, Gale Street, Dagenham, Essex, RM9 4UN
Mardyke Community Centre, South Street, Rainham, Essex, RM13 8PJ
Online Centres Network use the Learn My Way website which is designed to help people take their first steps with using computers and the Internet.
We offer accredited tutor-led courses in partnership with the Awarding Body eDCC (eDigital Competence Certificate) which aims to reward success by granting certificates that recognise computer skills at all levels from beginner to advanced using Microsoft Office - namely Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, Access database, PowerPoint presentations and Publisher desktop publishing. For accredited courses, there will be a small charge towards the cost of each qualification certificate.
The eDCC scheme and certification is run by and accredited by The Prince's Trust. Therefore any qualifications achieved are widely valued by employers and educational establishments alike.
In collaboration with Software4Students, our learners now have the opportunity to purchase Microsoft software at rock-bottom prices. Software4Students was set up with Microsoft's help to be the first UK online store that would sell a range of software applications including Microsoft products, such as Office 2013.
